You think I could actually roleplay yiffing? I'd burst out laughing, say sorry, and skitter off. I couldn't even do an emotional kissing RP without feeling all...  -y.

Its very weird to try if you know the other player is a bloke playing a female character, granted   .

If the other player is a girl playing a female character... no problems.

why would a guy go in for that?  I mean why would a guy want to play a chick charector?  well I guess if he was gay but other than that it seems odd to me.  I would never play a guy charector.  but i would probobly never roleplay having sex with someone online.

86% of all female characters on Avlis are played by males

I roleplay male and female characters, as do many other men. Some aren't very good at it at all, others are quite admirable.

In a game world like Avlis, roleplayed relationships are part of the fabric of the world... and sexual relations is an integral part of that *Shrugs*.

For all the americans here, not all roleplaying means having sex with others.
It means taking on the life of a pretend person and living it out as you want.
NOT HAVING SEX!

They know that Pete.

Another interesting thing, which may explain Firefairy's reaction:

Not all americans do actually. They tend to get very surprised if you tell them one of your hobbies is roleplaying. Then you have to spend the next million years explaining what real roleplaying is...

Yeah, I was doing a scene with Bashe, and his girlfriend Mitsura. I did badly. XD

And usually, I don't care who's playing the character. Has nothing to do with IC. I know Mitsura's player is a girl though. XD I've talked with her in voice chat.

It does matter, because some people feel uncomfortable with the knowledge that what they're doing could be construed as Homosexual cybersex.

Also, people playing a character of the opposite sex tend to play a stereotype or their idea of a perfect man/woman.
