Title: Ri'than Lian Update Post by: SS on May 26, 2003, 08:54:55 PM Okay, for those of you that don't know, Ri'than Lian is a specialised text editor. It's specialisation is IRC/RPG logs, in particular, searching and replacing within them, the intent being to transform into a nicely readable version.
I'm just letting people know that the text-editor side of things is done. Current features include: File: New/Open/Save/SaveAs Edit: Undo/Cut/Copy/Paste/Clear/SelectAll/SelectNone/SelectClear Format: Bold/Italic/Underline/Strikeout/Fonts/Sizes/Colours [Individual and Complete selection] And a few minor selections like asking you to save before opening a file, a lovely little About screen, proper Windows interface, including properly togglable, movable, resizable, dockable toolbars etc. (yay) Features yet to do include: Options [Edit default paths/settings/etc] Functions [The actual important search & replace bit of things] Help Topics [A simple context-sensitive help system] Once I have got at least the next two of these bits done, I will upload it and post the URL here, so y'all can tell me how wonderful it is. :D Title: Ri'than Lian Update Post by: Rug on May 26, 2003, 09:15:31 PM Ugh, you used the word Lovely *hack, spit*

I draw on things I know, subconsiously change them into something that is not used before, and spit it out for use. :P I've been making up mumbo-jumbo languages since I was about 7, and didn't read WoT and LoTR. :D

I have just marked on my calendar Wednesday evening for working on Ri'than Lian... assuming I do get to work on it then I should get something which is somewhere near usable. Um, I'll go have a look at how far I'd managed to get with it. edit: Hmmm, the previous post is relatively accurate - four to six hours of work and I can probably get something nice. After I've finished my pizza I can give it half an hours worth of work, and tomorrow morning I can add another couple of hours. A couple more in the evening and I'll see where I'm at, and probably upload whatever stage I've reached. |
