I like hamsters. Do you have any of those? My sister had one; a miniature dwarven russian hamster. The best part was that I didn't have to take care of it.

I like hamsters. Do you have any of those? No... I've never quite seen the attraction in them. They're small and fluffy, fair enough, but they don't do much other than sleep and sometimes move food around the cage. And they're highly anti-hamster themselves, whereas rats are far more active, very intelligent, and highly social. In other news, I've just aquired a new rat, named Rolo, after being offered him whilst standing at a bus stop with the other five (taking them to the pet shop to be rat-sat for a few days (I spent last weekend in London)). But he's a male rat, and so has to be kept seperately for obvious reasons. The current plan is to breed them once or twice, and then have him castrated and put him in with the females, as rats really shouldn't be kept on their own. Anyway, as I initially intended to say, I'll put up some photos of him later; he's very photogenic.
