I'm joining Lanair's Loony Land and getting a MacBook Pro!

2.0GHz dual CPU, 667MHz frontside bus, 1GB of PC2-5300 DDR2 RAM, 256MB Radeon X1600, 100GB SATA HDD, glowing keyboard... all in a square-foot, inch thick, 2.5kg silver box.

 :cheesy:

Yeah, but... triple-booting laptop > desktop with five-year-old OS.

Who cares, if the five year old OS still works?

Yaaaay.  Of course, I needed to send my mac into the shop yesterday to fix an overhearing problem, so I wont have it for a week... how reassuring.  LOL

It arrived today! Cheesy

Not only does it look cool, but it was so cold I think my tongue might have stuck to it had I tried to lick it. Which I'm hoping will mean I wont have any problems with overheating.

Speaking of that- got any ideas to stop overheating... aside from using my icepack? It seems to get espeically hot if I use Azureus (I can stop), or burn CDs (not gonna stop)...  <_<

Me is jealous of SS's new cpu... because a mac bought last September is sooooo out of date...  LOL

Other than attaching giant heat-sinks to the case, with a couple of large fans to blow the warm air away, I've not got any helpful ideas. Sad

Actually, just plug in a proper mouse and the right button & wheel both work instantly.

Apparently you can also get any additional buttons to work (back/forward/etc) just by installing some drivers, but I haven't yet tried that.

Something that my Mac laptop actually can't do is eject a CD when the OS isn't running. Sad
Worse still: it doesn't have an over-ride hole to shove a paperclip in and force eject it.

 You make weird friends.

I think I've probably used The Hole more on my old Zip drive - 'twas often easier to poke it rather than connecting it up to a power source and/or waiting for Windows to boot.
