not really impressed.  especially since there's the prevailing problem of unrestricted attack range that's yet to be addressed... and i don't count requiring fuel as restricting the attack range... if anything, it's weakening the lower players even further.

aside from that, putting the names in the battle report is a good move(but should have been in the pre-alpha... there even already was a slot for the names)
implementing code for fuel does change strategy a bit... but like i said, what's the use if someone  5x your size attacks you, and you can't do a thing about it?

... that is, unless there's an unannounced change of sorts... because it's not mentioned either in the news nor in the forum link through the log-in page.

just my opinion, but the avatar size limit prevents me from making avatars out of a lot of images...

why?
because most portrait images and good drawings that i've come across are long and narrow, not wide and short.
most of the latter type are simply background/wallpaper-types

resizing into a small resolution works up to a point, but loses a lot of detail
cropping also works only up to a point, because you can only crop so much until you start losing the important sections of the image
rotation doesn't work in most cases, too

not that i'm complaining, it only makes me work harder to narrow down the avatars to the really good ones.  and i like my current one

seems that one of the comps on this LAN got infected with a new strain of worm...
problem? the whole LAN's protected by a router.

tried starting up the comp, the system process SVCHOST.EXE starts to take up 100% of the CPU usage and nothing moves an inch.
force-delete with the Task Manager, another instance of the SVCHOST.EXE starts to take up about 30-40% of the CPU usage, force-delete again.
once that's done, things seem to finally continue... or so you might think.

Norton Antivirus failed to start-up properly, it brings up an error message that it cannot do e-mail protection.
What's more, the computer cannot view websites.
Neither can programs access the internet, and nadda.  Although it seems that the computer can still access the network, and be accessed from the network.

I go into Safe Mode, I do a thorough search...
5-6 instances of a trojan, that's fine, they're deadmeat.
nothing else comes up, so I restart the comp, and see if it starts up properly.

IT DOESN'T.
The same symptoms occur again.

So, 1 out of 4 comps down on this LAN, and I'm betting this WinXP server that I've been running for 31wks 5days 11hrs 25mins will also die if I attempt to restart it.  A version of Norton Antivirus killed my entire access to the internet, including virus definition updates themselves, so I haven't had a proper antivirus program running for that long.

Oh yeah, it's fun.  Probably too late to put up a firewall on this comp...
Take care, everyone, apparently routers aren't enough to stop this new strain, and I'm wondering if firewalls can stop it.

So far, I'm trying to find out what I can about this new worm/virus... if anyone has info, lemme know.

The problem has been solved.
Found out why nothing special appeared on Norton AntiVirus... it WASN'T a worm/virus.
A freakin bunch of spyware crap simply took over most of the bandwidth between that comp and the router... or something along those lines.
Still don't understand why the comp couldn't view websites while it could still access other comps on the same LAN... Mind you, I was able to send files to the comp, and view files through the LAN.
Wonderful lesson on running spyware-detecting programs, eh?

An online RPG much like KoC and DAoW, but with differences:
1. you build an army of race-specific units with different stats
2. you outfit the units with unit-specific weapons and armor that enhances their damage and lowers chance of dying(when you have large armies)
3. you only gain attack turns from link-clicking, and that's even limited to 5 per day
4. you gain income from allies that join the game through your unique link, but that's also limited to 5 although others can still join as allies.
5. clan markets let you earn extra money per turn, the amount increases as more people join the clan(limit of 30 people per clan)
6. buildings improve the technology of your army: some let you build better weapons, some let you house more of advanced units

I've finished the game in the top 25's or so before the reset today.

the middle one is clearly naked, she's just hiding her sexual organs and breasts with her legs and arms.  there's no sign of any clothes on her.
the ones on the sides are also naked(or at least half-naked), because you can see right up to the roundness of their breasts.  the only possibility that they aren't completely naked is if they were wearing tube-tops...

i still like mole's sig, but i would still avoid putting things like that into a sig that can be seen all over bpsite... it's fine staying in the art forums tho, i guess?
