31  BPSITE / BPSITE Headquarters / Birthdays on: June 13, 2007, 11:07:40 AM

Very belated happy birthday to The Louise, and to the rest of us born on this fine day, many, many, many years ago.  :miffed:
32  BPSITE / Arts & Literature / What is your favorite movie? on: June 08, 2007, 10:20:09 PM

It's not a film to be taken seriously. Tongue

The Rock should also be added to the list, thinking about it.
33  BPSITE / Arts & Literature / What is your favorite movie? on: June 07, 2007, 10:46:37 PM

Fight Club's very good... as is V for Vendetta, The Prestige, The Island, Pirates of the Caribbean, Aeon Flux... meh, too many to choose from.

Favourite series would probably have to be Heroes though.

In that time they were, actually; it was perfectly normal.  Further reading, for those so interested in such things. Tongue
35  BPSITE / Geek's Corner / Firefox Questions on: May 04, 2007, 11:25:28 PM

No replies...?

This will be of great use to me, but I do need a spot of input.  Please take a few minutes.

Many pre-emptive thanks.  Smiley

Okay, this is going to seem ever so slightly nuts but please bear with me.  I've had a rather good idea (it may even be a brilliant one ), but can't go into details just yet, lest it be stolen.

First though, I need to run a small survey, and you lot have just volunteered. Tongue Please go into as much detail as you have time to. Smiley

Do you use Firefox, and why?  If not, why not?

What features (if any) do you lack in FF that you have in other browsers?  Do you have any extensions to provide that functionality?

Which extensions do you use, and would you rate them Okay, Useful, Very Useful or Essential?  Please add comments about each if applicable.

Any other comments about it, or browsers in general?

Thanks for your time.   Smiley

Finally got it sorted.

The Music Machine!

Some amazing art

And more of said art.

Enjoy. Smiley

It certainly is quieter without the spam.

Happy quarter century ... just three left before your telegram.   Tongue

Found them - I'll send them tomorrow.

We've just had an interesting episode here... a bat managed to get itself into the house, and then under a computer desk.  Eventually we managed to extract it though, photos to follow tomorrow if they're any good.

Well I've got a 10GB monthly transfer allowance, and so far this month I've used under 500MB. Smiley

Of course, that might suddenly shoot up now that I've started pinging half a dozen weblog aggregators, but I doubt it.

Grr, I need to dig that up again.

/me starts a search ... this might take a while.  :paranoid:
41  BPSITE / BPSITE Headquarters / dear happy friends on: April 13, 2007, 02:54:09 AM

It's a lot safer though.

The ironic thing is that they'll probably send you off on an aircraft carrier anyway. Tongue   Still, at least you won't end up on a sub.

Best of luck though, and watch out for Patriots - they don't always remember that you're on their side.

Mole, you *really* need to start using punctuation.  Louise'll skin you and turn you into a waistcoat otherwise.

And I was referring to Rug mentioning it, yes.

I'm not currently reading any books, I probably ought to start again actually.  We've bought the Wizards First Rule series from a second hand bookshop at a huge discount, but my gf's currently buried in the first one, and she's a rather slow reader (although I'm a very fast reader, so she may be average-ish).  We've also got a fair few Pratchet books, so I might go for one of those.

Which reminds me (for some reason ), who plans to get the new HP book?  I'm wondering if it might be worth buying a few spares to eBay 'em to those whose stores are out of stock.

Ah, I got it up mixed with Daughter of the Empire. Mea culpa.

Probably have a pop at Northern Lights then.  Although as said before, you should really have read it many years back to get the most from it.

Stick with it, there's no point starting another trilogy until you've finished the current one.
