i was just going through all the members for some reason...and man...that made me miss the good old days.  why did we die? i think it was SS's fault when he killed spamming...

And then this question arises...

I did, but I was waiting for 0.6.2 to be released, which is a lot slower than expected.
Also, I've decided that instead of doing new forums now and new website later, I'll do the forums and main bit of website 'soon', then the rest of the website later.

I say no. Just give all the old timers the ability to give themselves custom titles or whatever from the outset.

Old timers = been here at least a year.

Resize that baby... edit the image in MS paint and do this: select all (ctrl+a), move the image into the upper left-hand corner, and then go to the lower right hand corner and find the little drag-box-thingy there.  Drag that until all the white space is gone.  Save, and rehost.

I think it's small images save smaller as PNG and otherwise it's jpg... I think...

you had that up once, it was impressive :P  

The simple rule is:
photo = JPG
cartoon/screenshot = PNG

The more advanced rule is:
If it's more than 256 continuous colours (and no transparency), save as 24-bit JPG - maximum of 1/3rd compression (ie: 70% quality or greater).
If it's 256 colours or less (and single-colour transparency), save as 8-bit PNG.
Otherwise save as 24-bit PNG.


If in doubt, experiment and use whichever is best.
