Title: New forum URL Post by: SS on June 08, 2005, 05:42:57 PM You can now get here from forums.bpsite.co.uk - as well as the existing url ( www.bpsite.co.uk/forums ).
Why? Because I can. And because it allows me to type "fo" in the address bar and come here. If you're happy enough with the existing URL you don't need to change - infact, it's only a redirect anyway, so you're still actually using the old one, it just means a bit less typing. :alien: Title: New forum URL Post by: mole on June 08, 2005, 08:05:32 PM SS thats the mnost random topic youve ever made...im so proud of you

I either click down the list of url's in my address bar and find it or double click the shortcut on my desktop :P Title: New forum URL Post by: smi256 on June 10, 2005, 04:04:59 AM Quote I just type "bp" and down arrow and enter and I'm here :sheep: same here.SS, then what happened to your website that was at the root? Title: New forum URL Post by: SS on June 10, 2005, 01:18:56 PM Nothing has happened to it?
Here's how things are setup: www.bpsite.co.uk -> Easily -> HTML/meta-redirect to www.hybridchill.com/bpsite/ forums.bpsite.co.uk -> CfD -> browser-relocate to www.bpsite.co.uk/forums/ web.bpsite.co.uk -> CfD -> browser-relocate to www.hybridchill.com/bpsite/ Where Easily = hosts bpsite.co.uk server (PHP), and CfD = hosts hybridchill.com server (CF). I can't change the www.bpsite.co.uk because that'll screw up other stuff that needs to stay on Easily - and that other stuff is also why I setup the forums sub-domain, because if I type 'bp' I don't get the forums at the top. |
