Heh zip drives... I never found mine to be of any use...  Sad

And my friends suit me just fine!  Cheesy

Your friend is a hole Lanair  >_>...
If I got a laptop (which doesn't look too likely) it's be one of Macintosh's.
About laptops...  I've heard this story twice from two people with very little time in between; I don't want to type it out, it's boring, but the moral the story is to backup ALL your data before sending in your laptop in for repair, because it might not be there when you get it back Sad . Another good idea would be to take pictures of your laptop to prove what kind of condition it was in before sending it in.
My friends laptop had a scratch  and it came back with a crack, and can’t do anything about it; he was a little preoccupied with getting over the fact that all his files were deleted.

The real moral of the story is not to send a laptop somewhere to get it repaired. Tongue

Oh and regularly backup all data on any computer, because neither hard-discs nor solid-state drives are invincible.

raid 0 = mirror raid, half storage
two 120GB drives and get only 120GB of storage

raid 5 = # of drives - 1 storage
three 120GB drives and get 240GB of storage

This all gets costly though <_<
I plan on getting two 500GB sata drives and raid 0 them :hehe:
soom day... Sad

RAID is on-the-fly backing up. Tongue

And it's not so expensive these days - under £150 for 2x300GB 16MB SATA II...
